Short version: this is a free portfolio demo provided as-is. Explore it however you like, but don't attack it, don't put real or sensitive data into it, and don't rely on anything you store here — demo data is wiped nightly.

What this is

Barefoot Nomad is a personal portfolio project operated by Raymond Mwaura to demonstrate a working application. It is a rebuild of a team project originally written during the Andela training programme.

It is not a commercial product, there is no company behind it, nothing is charged for, and no business relies on it. Please treat it as a demonstration.

Using the site

You may explore the application freely, either through the one-click demo accounts or by registering your own.

In using it, you agree not to:

Attempt to gain access to accounts or data that are not yours.
Probe, scan or load-test the infrastructure, or attempt to disrupt it for others.
Upload unlawful, harmful or infringing content.
Use the site to store anything you would be unhappy to lose or to see deleted.

Demo accounts

The demo accounts are shared and public. Anything you enter while using one is visible to other visitors and is deleted automatically every night.

Demo accounts are deliberately prevented from performing actions that would affect other users.

Do not enter real data

Any payment features run in test mode only — never enter a real card number. Use the test card numbers shown on screen.

Equally, do not enter real passport details, travel documents, confidential business information or anyone else's personal data. The application models corporate travel, but it is populated with fictional data and should stay that way.

Availability

The site runs on free hosting tiers and is provided as-is, with no guarantee of uptime, performance or data retention.

It may be taken offline, reset or changed at any time without notice, and the database may be wiped in the course of ongoing development.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself. Accounts that are abusive, or that appear to be used to attack the site, may be removed without notice.

You can ask for your account and data to be deleted at any time by emailing raymwauradev@gmail.com.

Intellectual property

The source code and design are the work of the author. The original project was built collaboratively by Team Boondocks at Andela, and that contribution is acknowledged.

Hotel names, users, itineraries and every other record in the application are fictional sample data.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator accepts no liability for any loss arising from use of this site, including loss of data. It is a free demonstration provided without warranty of any kind.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
